Music at Clare Hall

Open Mic Nights at the ALB

Open Mic nights at Clare Hall are intended to be both an informal opportunity for Clare Hall members and friends to perform - be it music, comedy, poetry, or anything else - and a chance for students and senior members to meet and interact. The line up of performers is meant to spontaneous and fluid with an emphasis on diversity. We have heard folk singers, poetry, Irish traditional music, the Turkish oud, straight ahead jazz, and comic songs performed a capella.

Open Mics take place every other Thursday night, starting from 9pm, in the ALB. Audience members are as important as performers, so please stop by even if you’re not ready to take the stage.

Cambridge Samulnori, led by Nami Morris (center) makes a special appearance at the Clare Hall Open Mic!
