Clare Hall has an enviable reputation as a centre of excellence for advanced study, with a culturally cosmopolitan feel and a warm, welcoming approach to family life. Clare Hall brings together research scholars of different nationalities and academic disciplines, from graduate students studying for a higher degree to senior professors. A particular characteristic of the College is its warm atmosphere and informality without regard for hierarchy. Most Visiting Fellows, like many of the graduate students, are from overseas, thus adding an international dimension to life in the College. All Visiting Fellows are encouraged to bring their partners or family and accommodation on site at Clare Hall can be offered, should this be required. There have been hundreds of Visiting Fellows over the years and many have returned several times when the occasion arises. Visiting Fellows become Life Members of Clare Hall and are welcomed back at any time to participate in college life. Applications for a Visiting Fellowship can be made online. You will find the necessary information and link on the Application details page.
