Chamber Music at Clare Hall – Intimate Engagements

It is with a great pleasure that we invite you to join us for Clare Hall’s Intimate Engagements concert series. Now in its sixth season, the series continues with the successful format of thrilling performances by prominent artists, combined with informal presentations, in which the musicians share with the audiences their artistic journey over a musical theme. In this season’s varied programme, violinist Stefan Jackiw and pianist Charles Owen present the many facets of expression in Brahms’ violin and piano sonatas; cellist Paul Watkins and pianist David Dolan explore how improvisation can serve as an inspirational source in repertoire performances; pianist Shelley Katz sheds new light on Mozart and Beethoven’s expressive palette; and pianists Laurence and Daniel Benzakoun celebrate the orchestral dimension of the piano duet in a programme of early 20th century French music. We very much look forward to sharing these inspiring musical encounters.
