Professor Baizhan Li
Baizhan Li is a Professor in Built Environment at the Chongqing University, China, where he directs the National-Level multi-disciplinary International Research Centre of Sustainable Development in Building and Environment (SuDBE __ http://www.sudbe.cqu.edu.cn/).
Baizhan is a Chartered Engineer in the UK and a Registered Engineer in China, A pioneer and advocate in the sustainable, low-carbon green building field with a broad spectrum of activities, mainly focusing on green engineering solutions to indoor environments for humans. Published numerous impactful international journal papers and was recognised as Stanford/Elsevier’s Top 2% Scientist; Leadership of eighteen years as head of the engineering school and founding directors of three major national centres; consultations for government policies and engineering companies. Prize winners of the State Science and Technology Progress Award and State Teaching and Learning Award; Visiting Fellow of Clare Hall Cambridge; honorary Professors of several overseas universities.
At Clare Hall, Baizhan is accompanied by his spouse, Runming Yao, Professor at the School of the Built Environment. Runming is also a Visiting Fellow at Clare Hall.
