Dr Abigail Dolan

Abigail Dolan is a musician and CEO of Symphonova UK, along with being founder and former Artistic Director of Clare Hall’s Intimate Engagements concert series (2014-2021).

As a concert flautist, Abigail has performed in numerous concerts worldwide, participated in various radio and TV productions and made recordings under Selena and Memus labels. She is co-founder and CEO of Symphonova UK – a music technology company that integrates digital technologies in classical music with the aim to renew the symphonic experience.

Her PhD (King’s College, London), titled Landmarks in Flute Performance Style on Record 1900-1950, is an examination of the changes in flute performance style in 78rpm recordings, focusing on tone qualities and expressivity in performance.
