President invites College community to Tanner Working Group

Professor Alan Short, President of Clare Hall, is inviting our students, postdocs and Fellows to apply to join the College’s Tanner Working Group, which will collaborate with the Tanner Committee of Fellows to stage the Tanner Lecture on 1-2 February 2022. The event will focus on the subject ‘Providing for a nation’s health, in a global context’.

Through the group, Professor Short aims to build the intellectual depth of the Tanner Lecture and subsequent Ashby Lecture, organising seminars and opportunities for students, postdocs, Official, Research and Visiting Fellows to interact with the speakers on the morning of day two and the following few days. Professor Allen Buchanan will be with us for several days, with the first evening focusing on National Partiality and the second on Global Healthcare Practice.

Please see an email from our Acting College Registrar, Jon Brosnan, for further details.

To express your interest in joining the group, email, detailing your affiliation to the College, department, faculty or laboratory and research area, by Wednesday 17 November. The group will be strictly limited in size to focus its energies.
