At the beginning of August, Clare Hall welcomed the latest student summer programme from the China UK Development Centre-Maxer Education Group. The students were from Xiamen University, Soochow University, Xi’an Jiao Tong University and Fuzhou University.
This course was designed to give participants the chance to attend lectures related to Chemistry, alongside day trips to relevant institutions such as The Royal Society of Chemistry and the Fitzwilliam Museum. The group also visited London's West End and spent a day in Oxfordshire visiting Christ Church and Bicester Village shopping outlet. The College Bursar, Ian Strachan, was delighted to present the programme participants with a certificate of completion at a dinner to celebrate their time in College.
Dr Ruigang Michael Zhou (Co-Founder, Operations and Partnerships Director) and the CUDC team commented that “For many years now CUDC, along with our students and academics, have been warmly welcomed by Clare Hall. All of the staff are very accommodating and handle queries and requests with diligence, patience and good humour. The College has a lovely atmosphere, and during our short stay we were made to feel like a real part of the Clare Hall community.”
