On 5 February, Clare Hall is delighted to be presenting what promises to be a spellbinding concert by our Quartet-in-Residence, the Fitzwilliam String Quartet, accompanied by Musician-in-Residence, Patrick Hemmerlé on piano.
With a wonderful programme featuring pieces by Peter McCarthy, Rebecca Clarke, Ralph Vaughan Williams and Johannes Brahms, this concert is the first to showcase both the Fitzwilliam String Quartet and Hemmerlé here at Clare Hall.
Alan George, a founding member of FSQ, comments:
'We have teamed up with a large array of distinguished pianists over the years - from Ogdon, Ashkenazy, Schiller in the 1970s/80s to Anna Tilbrook, Simon Callaghan, and Yoko Misumi more recently - so it will be a particular pleasure to begin a new association here with Patrick Hemmerlé.'
