Clare Hall Art Exhibitions

Regular art exhibitions have been held at Clare Hall since its very beginning in the late 1960s. In exchange for the free use of the exhibition space, the artist usually donates one of the exhibited works. Together with other donated, purchased or loaned works, the college has in this way built up a sizeable art collection of great interest and diversity.

Moving Light

Henryk Hetflaisz

An exhibition at Clare Hall from 15 June to the 25 July 2018

Henryk Hetflaisz is a Polish-born artist who works with photography in various ways. This exhibition, titled Moving Light, shows him using the camera in a way that goes beyond description. Working with dancers in near darkness, he succeeds in capturing time, rhythm and speed of moment in images that glitter with the kinetic energy of dance.

Hetflaisz's method is the result of controlled exposure and is wholly free of digital trickery.

Clare Hall Gallery is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm.
