Research interests:
A Senior Faculty in Management Practice and a member of the Economics Group at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, Dr Khaled Soufani holds a Master’s degree in applied economics and a PhD in financial economics.
Dr Soufani has published extensively on economics and finance in areas such as financial management, corporate restructuring, Mergers and Acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and family business, and the financial and economic affairs of small to medium-sized enterprises. His research also includes work on economic growth and innovation relating to the circular economy and fast-growing markets and economies.
Dr Soufani’s work is widely cited and has been included in policy reports by organisations such as the EU, Organisation for Economic Cooperation Development and the Institute of Directors, as well as cited and published by the World Economic Forum. He sits on the editorial boards of some international academic journals.
Before joining academia, Dr Soufani worked in investment banking, in bond and money market trading. He has been the academic programme director for many executive education schemes for major companies and financial institutions, as well as for government organisations.
