Aura Reggiani is Full Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Bologna (Italy), and currently chairing the courses of ‘Advanced Economic Policy and Methods’, ‘Methods for Economic Analysis’, and ‘Transport Economics’. She is a specialist in spatial economics and modelling, with particular reference to the study of network evolution and complexity, and of the associated policies. She has a PhD in Economics from the Department of Spatial Economics at the Free University of Amsterdam (1990).
Aura Reggiani was elected as a Fellow of the Netherland Institute of Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences (1991), Fellow of the Regional Science Association International (2010), and Member of the Academia Europaea (2016). She has been President of the Network for European Communications and Transport Activities Research (2008-2013), and also Chair of the European Research Council Panel on 'Environment, Space and Population' (2013 and 2015).
Aura Reggiani has a long list of international publications in her field of expertise (22 volumes, 15 special issues, and 160 articles), and is currently on the editorial boards of seven internationally recognised journals in her field. She is also Series Editor of the NECTAR Series on Transportation and Communications Networks Research (Edward Elgar, UK-USA), and Editor of the journal "Networks and Spatial Economics" (Springer-Verlag).
