Research details:

I am originally from Canada and completed my Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Neuroscience at Carleton University in Ottawa. Afterwards, I moved to Helsinki, Finland to complete my Master’s degree. I finished my Master of Science degree and continued to do a PhD. My doctoral research centred around modelling Parkinson’s disease in order to test new therapies.

Once I finished the PhD I was hired as a postdoctoral research associate in the lab of Professor Maria Grazia Spillantini at the University of Cambridge. I have continued my research on Parkinson’s disease and have been delving more deeply into the mechanisms of the disorder.

Personal interests:

Outside of research, I have my own English proofreading business and a beer blog where I discuss beer, travel, and my home brewing adventures.
