At Clare Hall, we refer to all former Students, Visiting Fellows, Research Fellows and Associates as Life Members - and it means just that - you are a member for life and as such you are always welcome to return to College to renew acquaintances, make use of facilities as well as enjoy the intellectual and social environment.

By becoming a Life Member of Clare Hall, you join an inclusive and welcoming society of international leaders and academics, unique among all the Cambridge College.  We would like to encourage you to make the most of this.

Visiting the College

We always welcome our Life Members back to the College, whether for work or visiting.  To book accomodation, please email guest room bookings.

Dining in College

As a Life Member you can pop in for lunch or join us for Formal Hall on a Wednesday evening.  You are entitled to bring up 6 guests.  To book Formal Hall, please email our Kitchen.

Staying in touch

Thanks to Clare Hall's tradition of welcoming Graduate Students and Visiting Fellows we have a very strong international mix of Life Members, with 80% from outside the UK.  To help you stay in touch with what's going on, wherever you are, we have a specific section on the website to help us keep in touch.  Check our 'update your details' page to see just how simple it is.

You can also check the website news section to see what fellow Life Members are upto and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

As a Life Member, you can connect with old friends or find new contacts by joining the Clare Hall group on LinkedIn.  By adding Clare Hall Life Member to your business card, email signature or CV, you are enabling fellow Life Members to identify you and make contact.  Download the Clare Hall crest here.
