Supporting Clare Hall

The College cares deeply about its members. We aim to provide a welcoming, supportive and academically stimulating community in the University of Cambridge, one of the top-ranking universities in the world and centre of a world-leading research environment.

To deliver this, we need the active support and involvement of our Life Members and Friends.  We are a small, young college, with limited resources. Any donation, whatever the size, will make a difference. Read on to find out more about current and past appeals and how you can help.

Our appeals

We have detailed below some of our main funds and priorities. We are always keen to hear from current or prospective donors so if you have any questions please do get in touch via email to development@clarehall.cam.ac.uk.

Leave a legacy to Clare Hall

Clare Hall is a distinctive college in Cambridge. Its own foundations lie in the vision created by the founding Fellows and of Clare College back in 1966. Their wish was to create a welcoming home for graduates and Visiting Fellows, in which to think, meet, talk and share. That place is Clare Hall. Most of the buildings, scholarships and bursaries at Clare Hall are the result of a legacy gift from Fellows, Life Members, staff or friends of the College. Their generosity continues to benefit current and future members. Many Life Members have indicated that they would like to make a gift to Clare Hall. They feel, however, that they are unable to do so during their lifetime. Including a gift in your will offers an opportunity to make a real difference to supporting Clare Hall, without affecting any lifetime commitments.
