Join us at Clare Hall for two exceptional concerts celebrating the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel’s birth, performed by acclaimed pianist Patrick Hemmerlé.

Across two evenings, audiences will have a rare opportunity to hear all of Ravel’s major piano works, presented with the artistry and insight that have made Patrick Hemmerlé one of Cambridge’s leading interpreters of French repertoire.

Ravel’s piano music stands among the greatest achievements of 20th-century art — admired for its refinement, perfection, and versatility. A composer who never repeated himself, Ravel constantly reinvented his musical language, creating works of extraordinary beauty and imagination.

Each concert will also include short talks offering background and context, illuminating the evolution of Ravel’s unique style throughout his creative life.
