Clare Hall Alumni launch startup accepted into Y Combinator
Clare Hall is happy to celebrate the success of Will Hanna and Zakir Singh, two alumni who met while at the College and have since gone on to found a technology startup together in San Francisco.
After connecting at Clare Hall, Will and Zakir continued to develop their shared interests and ideas, eventually launching Miniswap, a new venture focused on improving how digital assets are exchanged. Their startup has now been accepted into Y Combinator, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious startup accelerators in the world.

Acceptance into Y Combinator is highly competitive and places Miniswap among a select group of early-stage companies receiving mentorship, funding, and access to a global network of founders and investors. The programme has supported many of today’s leading technology companies and is recognised internationally as a marker of innovation and potential.
Will and Zakir’s journey from meeting at Clare Hall to building a startup on the West Coast highlights the lasting connections and entrepreneurial spirit fostered within the College’s international community. Clare Hall warmly congratulates them on this exciting milestone and wishes them every success as they continue to grow Miniswap.
