Speakers:

Dr Veronika Brázdová is a patent attorney with a PhD in computational physics and a decade of postdoctoral research at UCL. After transitioning into intellectual property, she founded her own practice where she specialises in sustainable marine technologies and draws on her expertise in supporting start-ups and developing commercially aligned IP strategies.
Dr Rose Hughes (MA (Cantab), PhD, EPA) brings passion for effective IP strategy in pharmaceuticals to biopharma specialist firm Evolve Intellectual Property. With a PhD in Immunology (UCL) and over a decade of patent experience, she combines scientific expertise with practical IP solutions. Formerly Patent Director at AstraZeneca, Rose has led IP strategy for pharma products across the pipeline, including on-market biologics and cell therapy platforms. Her unique blend of law firm and in-house experience enables her to develop innovative IP strategies that deliver genuine business value. Rose is also a leading contributor to IPKat, one of Europe’s leading IP blogs, writing on patents, AI and pharma IP strategy.
