Welcome to Giving Week
As we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Clare Hall, we reflect on six decades of scholarship, friendship, and global connection. Clare Hall has always been a sanctuary for thinkers and a home for ideas, a place where curiosity finds space to grow and materialise into formidable world-class research.
To mark this special anniversary, Clare Hall is launching an academic challenge: 60 Hours for 60 Years, a continuous academic-writing relay from 13 to 15 April 2026, run in humane, four-hour shifts across time zones. It is a celebration of collective scholarship that invites our global community to support participants by making a gift to Clare Hall’s 60th Anniversary Campaign Fund and by joining remotely, wherever they are in the world, during one or more academic writing slots.
Remote participants are warmly encouraged to dedicate time to their own academic writing during any of the sessions that run continuously over the 60-hour event. We hope you will tune in to watch, participate, and help raise vital funds for the 60th Anniversary Campaign Fund.
Why give now?
Your gift goes twice as far. Contributions made during this challenge and throughout Giving Week will be matched pound for pound up to £26,000, helping the College secure essential additional funding.
We are sincerely grateful to our Foundation Fellow, Professor Eugene Wong, whose generosity has made this matched-funding opportunity possible.
