Dr Christopher W. Hope

Dr Hope was specialist adviser to the inquiry into Aspects of the Economics of Climate Change by the House of Lords Select Committee on Economic Affairs.

He was also an adviser on the Policy Analysis of the Greenhouse Effect (PAGE) model to the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change. Dr Hope’s research interests involve numerical information in public policy and the integrated assessment modelling of climate change, and he has published extensively in books and peer-reviewed journals. He has completed PAGE09, the latest version of the PAGE integrated assessment model and is now using it to investigate and publish papers on climate change policies in developed and developing countries. The model has also been used by the US Environmental Protection Agency to develop estimates of the social cost of carbon.
