Simeon Hatzopoulos is the Treasurer of the Graduate Student Body Committee (GSB) 2023/24

Simeon grew up in Germany and China before moving to the UK in 2019 to study Physics at UCL. In 2023, he joined Clare Hall to focus on Scientific Computing, specialising in researching the effects of lightning strikes on airplane materials through numerical simulations. He is particularly interested in numerical methods capable of simulating large physical systems simultaneously.

As the GSB treasurer, Simeon manages and distributes funds among the committed and enthusiastic committee, ensuring that everyone’s interests and hobbies are represented within the student body at Clare Hall. In his free time, Simeon enjoys climbing, hiking, and cooking.
