Clare College Choral Evensong
All members of Clare Hall are warmly invited to a special Choral Evensong in Clare College Chapel, on Sunday 4th February at 6pm. There will be a feast of musical pieces, with Clare College Choir singing Vaughan Williams’ glorious ‘Valiant-for-Truth’ as the Anthem, as well as soaring canticles set by Giles Swayne and Tomás Luis de Victoria. Clare Hall’s very own doctoral student, Ben Rae, will be giving the sermon. The service will last about an hour, and is followed by drinks in the ante-Chapel straight after the service. At 7.30pm, there is also the opportunity to enjoy a cooked supper in the Great Hall (£7), for any Clare Hall members who would like to join us.
