Clare College Choral Evensong, Michaelmas 2024

All members of Clare Hall are warmly welcome to a special service of Choral Evensong, sung by the College Choir on Thursday 24th October at 6.15pm in Clare Chapel. The service will last about 40 minutes, and music will include an introit by Sir William McKie, after whom the position of Clare College Senior Organ Scholar is named, canticles by Gabriel Jackson which were composed for Truro Cathedral, and Henry Purcell’s extended anthem My beloved spake. The service is framed by two movements from the Sonata No. 2 for Organ by Paul Hindemith. Straight after the service, there will be a special drinks reception for Clare Hall members in the Antechapel.
