Clare Hall Mindful Meditation Sessions
Mindfulness sessions this term will be on Tuesdays at 13.00. They will be held in the King Suite on Clare Hall main site. These sessions are drop-in, so no RSVP is required.
Mindfulness is in the news for its wellbeing benefits. To be mindful is to be aware and to experience the here and now, free (for a time) of thoughts about the past and future. We will see how meditation can be a support for mindfulness in our lives more generally. There is extensive evidence that meditating, even for a brief time, can help us with focus, concentration, mood, sport and sleep as well as providing a pleasurable experience of tranquility.
All members of the Clare Hall community are welcome. Feel free to contact Elizabeth Garnsey with any questions: ewg11@cam.ac.uk.
The red-framed door of the King Room is a few steps above the entrance to the Porter’s Office on the left. The first session of the term is on Tuesday 15 January 2024. Doors open at 13.00. The room is booked until 14.00 but you may leave earlier, as you wish.
