Clare Hall Through Your Lens: Community Photo Project

Date: Wednesday 1 October – Wednesday 10 December 2025
Location: Clare Hall, Herschel Road, Cambridge CB3 9AL

A warm welcome to all our new and returning members! As Michaelmas term begins, Clare Hall is buzzing with new faces, renewed energy, and the changing colours of the season. Whether you are a student just finding your way around, a fellow returning from research abroad, or part of our staff and family community, this is the perfect time to explore our grounds and gardens with fresh eyes.

To celebrate this moment, we are inviting you to take part in a new creative project: Clare Hall Through Your Lens. We want to see the college as you see it — the details that catch your eye, the views that make you pause, and the places that make Clare Hall feel like home.

How it works

  1. Take a photo
    • Capture something about Clare Hall that inspires you: the gardens, the architecture, the wildlife, a favourite bench, or even a hidden corner most people overlook. *To respect privacy, please note that photos featuring identifiable people cannot be accepted.
    • You do not need a professional camera — high-quality smartphone photos are welcome!
  2. Submit your photo
    • Use our simple online form.
    • Add your name, role (student, fellow, staff, other), and a short caption or title.
    • Make sure you tick the consent box so we can feature your work.
  3. See your work displayed
    • Selected photos will be showcased on our website and social media channels, with credit to you as the photographer.
    • We will also create a rotating display in the College Main Site, so your work can be enjoyed by the community in person.
