To conclude this fabulous year of the Film & Moving Image SIG, and in keeping with Pride Month, we are delighted to present Gregg Araki’s Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy as our final screening event of the academic year. The films, made in the 1990s, explore themes of disillusionment, sexuality, and the chaotic experiences of youth in a post-apocalyptic world.

Please note that this film marathon is strictly for those aged 18 and over.

This special event will take the form of a film marathon from 4pm to 10pm at the ALB Bar on Sunday 28 June. The screening timetable is as follows:

4-5.30pm Totally F***ed Up (1993)

5.30-6pm Discussion & Break

6-7.30pm The Doom Generation (1995)

7.30-8.30pm Break & inauguration of Leo Palmer, who will be taking over the Film SIG for 2026/27

8.30-10pm Nowhere (1997)

Content advisory: This programme includes films with mature and potentially disturbing content. For further information, please contact the SIG convenors before the event.

We will provide refreshments, including popcorn and drinks. This will be a relaxed screening environment, so you are very welcome to bring your own snacks, dinner, instant noodles, charcuterie board, alcoholic drinks, or anything else you might fancy — as long as we all help keep the space clean.

You are, of course, welcome to join for individual screenings if you cannot stay for the entire marathon.

We think these films make the perfect end-of-year celebration, and we very much hope to see you there. Feel free to bring your friends along too!
