The Ashby Lecture 2024 – Daniel H. Weiss

We are delighted to welcome Daniel H. Weiss as our speaker for the 2024 Ashby Lecture, on Wednesday 6th March at 5:00pm.

Professor Weiss was the Director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York from 2015-2023, and the title of his talk will be The Ethical Museum: Reflections on Cultural Mission and Civic Responsibility. After the lecture, Professor Weiss will be in conversation with the distinguished art critic Martin Gayford, formerly of the Spectator and the Sunday Telegraph and currently chief art critic for Bloomberg News, to discuss the trials, tribulations, and opportunities provided by leading one of the world’s great museums.
