Trio of voice, flute, and piano
A wonderful and rarely-heard French repertoire featuring soprano Jessica Summers, flautist Helen Vidovich, and pianist Fei Ren.
Featuring soprano Jessica Summers, flautist Helen Vidovich, and pianist Fei Ren, this wonderful and rarely-heard French repertoire for voice, flute, and piano is paired with instrumental chamber works from a golden era in French composition. Music by well-known composers such as Ravel, Debussy and Chaminade features alongside less familiar repertoire: the 1904 Sonata for flute & piano by the late Romantic French composer Mel Bonis, songs by Nadia Boulanger and Trois Chansons by the Jewish-Dutch composer Rosy Wertheim who lived in Paris in the 1930s.
