Call for Applications: Research Fellowship Competitions at Clare Hall
Clare Hall is delighted to announce a call for applications for Research Fellowships in the Sciences and in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, with appointments commencing in October 2026.

Founded in 1966, Clare Hall is a graduate College of the University of Cambridge with a vibrant international community of around twenty Official Fellows, twenty Research Fellows, fifteen Professorial Fellows, forty Visiting Fellows, and over two hundred and fifty postgraduate students. The College is known for its informal, family-friendly atmosphere and offers opportunities for members and their families to take part in its rich academic and social life. Limited accommodation is available for single persons, couples, and families, and all Fellows qualify for an allowance of free meals.
The College proposes to elect up to four NON-STIPENDIARY Research Fellows in the Sciences and up to four NON-STIPENDIARY Research Fellows in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, each for a period of three years, tenable from 1 October 2026.
These Research Fellowships are designed to support scholars at an early stage of their academic careers — typically within five years of completing their PhD — providing them with a supportive environment in which to establish and pursue independent research.
