The Spring Event is Clare Hall’s big May Week event, in which the GSB welcomes members of the College, friends and family to celebrate the end of the academic year.

On 16 June, Clare Hall members, friends, and family gathered in the Fellows Garden to celebrate the 2023 Spring Event. This year’s theme, “Rewind Party,” brought in throwback tunes, Polaroid film cameras, neon glowsticks, among other activities and refreshments (Photos by Jeremy Peters Photography).

Upon arrival, attendees were given vouchers for a buffet-style dinner, which included a range of dishes such as truffle mac & cheese, walking tacos, Korean fried chicken, tequila Jell-o cups, and cosmic galaxy brownies.

A variety of food and drink options were provided throughout the event, with an unlimited ice cream truck, a Belgian chocolate fountain, and rewind-themed cocktails and mocktails.

Guests gathered in the Dining Hall and outside to enjoy their food in the gardens, where picnic blankets and tables were set up to make the most of the warm, summer evening.

Music was played throughout the night in the central marquee, with performances from San Janipero, Droppa and the Droppettes, and Cambridge Dance DJ. A karaoke and game station were set up inside the ALB, and guests could play giant Jenga and chess outdoors in the garden.
