Life Member Professor Judith Harford elected as Fellow of the National Academy of Social Sciences, UK

Our warmest congratulations to Professor Judith Harford, from the University College Dublin School of Education, for being elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, UK.

Professor Harford was the only scholar to be elected from Ireland among the Academy’s 47 newest Fellows and was one of only four recognised for their excellence from outside the UK. She was recognised for her outstanding contributions to social science. Professor Harford’s research focuses on gender, social class, and inequalities in education.

Professor Harford was also awarded the Irish Research Council Impact Researcher of the Year Award 2022 for her work in the areas of gender and social class inequalities.
