Clare Hall Alum and Fellow Commoner Michael Ngai has been awarded an Honorary Professorship by Satbayev University in Kazakhstan, in recognition of his contributions to international education and academic collaboration.

Michael, who serves as Chairman of the Council of the City University of Hong Kong, received the honour during a ceremony in Almaty, where Satbayev University Rector Meiram Begentayev highlighted his commitment to fostering global partnerships in higher education.

A long-standing supporter of Clare Hall, Michael continues to strengthen connections between universities across Asia and Europe. His new appointment reflects his dedication to advancing cross-border research and innovation.
