An incredible evening for Clare Hall Fellow Professor Barbara Sahakian and Affiliated Postdoc Dr Christelle Langley, who recently met with His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen at Clarence House for a celebration of the The Queen’s Reading Room. Earlier this year, Professor Sahakian and Dr Langley launched their book “Brain Boost: Healthy Habits for a Happier Life,” which has received widespread recognition.

Professor Sahakian had previously met His Majesty The King at her Investiture at Buckingham Palace in February. She had also met Her Majesty The Queen at the Clarence House reception last year, which marked the findings of a study commissioned by The Queen’s Reading Room that highlighted the connection between reading and wellbeing.

The Queen’s Reading Room is partnering with The British Neuroscience Association for their International Festival of Neuroscience 2025. On Monday, 28 April, Professor Sahakian and Dr Langley will be speaking in a plenary session for the conference as experts in the field.
