Clare Hall offers a number of Studentships (also known as scholarships) in order to attract the best academic talent to postgraduate study. Sculpture in the Garden

This exhibition of works by John Sydney Carter is one of our special 50th Anniversary events.Throughout his life John Sydney Carter’s parallel interests have been in both fine art and industrial design. He is a painter and a sculptor, but in the last twenty years sculpture has been his constant, creative outpouring. Lunch for Life Members

We are starting a new initiative to encourage local Life Members to come into Clare Hall and have lunch with fellow Life Members on the first Thursday of every month.  The first Life Members lunch is scheduled for Thursday 7th April.Liz Ramsden, Accommodation Officer and former College Secretary together with Dr Marie Janson, Development Director will be at the lunch this coming Thursday. Clare Hall Life Member wins Maritime Media Award

Clare Hall Life Member and Wilfrid Laurier University’s History Professor Emeritus Barry Gough, has been honoured at the Maritime Media Awards with the 2015 Mountbatten Award for Best Literary Contribution for his book, Pax Britannica: Ruling the Waves and Keeping the Peace before Armageddon (Palgrave Macmillan). Dr David Gosling hosts 'Frontier of Fear' book launch

Former Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams was the guest speaker at the launch of a new book on Pakistan by Clare Hall Life Member Dr David Gosling. Clare Hall Catering Manager set for marathon charity run

Clare Hall Catering Manager Jason Fretwell is currently in training for this year's London Marathon, running in aid of Grief Encounter, a charity which supports bereaved children and their families by helping to alleviate the pain caused by the death of a loved one.  To help with fundraising he also recently hosted a charity ball (pictured) in the Lady Chapel of Ely Cathedral successfully raising over £11,000.Grief encounter’s services are provided free of charge, funded through... Art exhibition opening

On Thursday evening the Fortitudo art exhibition was officially opened by Hon. Alexandra Shackleton, granddaughter of Sir Ernest Shackleton. The event was also attended by the artist Paola Folicaldi Suh, the principle organisers Peter Wadhams and Maria Pia Casarini and a number of guests.  The exhibition brings to life the dramatic history of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s expedition to the Antarctic in the Endurance 1914-1917 and is the product of a two year 'epic paint cycle' by the artist to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the expedition.The collection of art will be on...
