How to donate

The variety of ways you can give to Clare Hall are listed below. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for your support.

Giving in the UK

Should you wish to donate by cheque, please make these payable to ‘Clare Hall’ and send to the Development Office, Clare Hall, Herschel Road, Cambridge CB3 9AL. The same postal address can be used for downloaded donation forms if you would prefer to send a hard copy.

Clare Hall is a registered charity (number 1137491), which means that if you are a UK taxpayer, and you complete a Gift Aid Declaration on the donation forms, we can reclaim tax so that the value of your gift to Clare Hall increases by over 25%.

Giving from the USA

You can give online via the Cambridge in America donation page. This can serve for single gifts or to set up regular giving/donation. They can facilitate giving by credit card, cheque or wire transfer, matched gifts, planned giving/donation and gifts of personal property and real estate.

Cambridge in America is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organisation under the Internal Revenue Code, allowing for US donors to qualify for an income tax deduction to the limits permitted by law. In compliance with IRS regulations, the Board of Directors of Cambridge in America maintains control and discretion over the allocation of gifts to collegiate Cambridge. Gifts are reviewed and approved by our Board of Directors and funds are the granted to benefit the University of Cambridge and its member Colleges.

Giving from outside the UK, including Canada

Make a regular gift by direct debit – please contact the Development Office development@clarehall.cam.ac.uk

Make a single/regular gift by downloading our form – please send the completed form to the Development Office, Clare Hall, Herschel Road, Cambridge CB3 9AL.

Donating by cheque – please make it payable to ‘Clare Hall’ and send to the Development Office, Clare Hall, Herschel Road, Cambridge CB3 9AL.

Please note that if you are resident in Canada and make a gift to Clare Hall, the University of Cambridge can issue a tax receipt for your gift. Please contact the Development Office on development@clarehall.cam.ac.uk if you would like a tax receipt.
