Dr Daniel Richter

Dr Daniel Richter currently is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge.

He obtained a BSc and MSc in Interdisciplinary Sciences at ETH Zurich in Switzerland, where he also obtained his PhD in Biology in 2024, working on the discovery and application of naturally occurring enzymes. He is interested in Bioinformatic-guided discovery of novel enzymology and works on the characterization and exploration of novel chemical reactions inspired by nature. His PhD work focused on the development of novel antimicrobial compounds through the utilization of newly discovered enzymes.
