Dr Antonios (Antoine) Daratos

Antoine Daratos is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge and holds a PhD in philosophy from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). His doctoral thesis offered a study of the notion of “duration” in Nietzsche’s philosophy. Among other works, he co-edited, with Paul Walter, the collective volume Penser l’évolution. Nietzsche, Bergson, Dewey (Vrin, 2019). Beyond Nietzsche studies, his research also focuses on nineteenth- and twentieth-century French philosophy, and in particular on the thought of H. Bergson, G. Canguilhem, M. Foucault and G. Deleuze. In his current research project, titled “What are problems made of? Bergson’s and Canguilhem’s philosophies of duration”, Antoine explores the productive dimension of problems.
