Per Reiff-Musgrove is responsible for the non-academic side of Clare Hall.
Together with the staff, Per works to ensure that governance of the College is well managed through the Governing Body, Council and the Finance Committee. Support services are the cornerstone of college life and he oversees the provision of well-organised accommodation, porters, housekeeping and catering. In addition he is responsible for information technology provision across all properties to support the work of the students, Fellows and staff community. Finally he ensures that our buildings and estates are maintained and, when funds permit, refurbished.
A graduate of Downing College, Cambridge, Per has worked in a variety of roles before joining Clare Hall – most recently as Director of Finance at the Cambridge-based Eastern Academic Health Science Network. Prior to this he was the Assistant Director of Finance for the University of Greenwich, where he was additionally Chair of the University’s Sustainability Management Board, working to reduce the University’s carbon footprint and successfully raising its position within the People and Planet University League tables.
Per’s career has also included several years as Head of UK Pensions at Shell, managing the pension funds for 50,000 members, as Chair of Shell Denmark, and as a Vice-President of Shell’s global finance operations division.
He is currently a Director and the Trustee Treasurer of VocalEyes, a charity working across the theatre and museum sectors to remove barriers to access and inclusion for blind and visually impaired people.
