Dr Yafei Wang

Dr Wang is an Associate Professor at Central China Normal University, specializing in publishing.

She is currently an affiliated postdoctoral researcher at Clare Hall College and a visiting scholar at Cambridge University Press and Assessment.

Dr. Wang holds a PhD in cultural communication. For the past decade, she has been researching on scholarly communication through mass-media publishing, with a particular interest in academic publishers and university presses.

Her recent research focuses on Open Access in scholarly publishing, and how university presses can embrace OA for both their own sustainable growths and the advancement of the academic communication system.

At Clare Hall, Yafei is working with her husband, Zhipeng Xie, who is an Associate Professor at Central China Normal University. He is a marketing psychologist specialized in consumer behaviour and new media marketing.
