Dr José Luis Granados

Dr Granados a visiting postdoctoral researcher in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge.

Dr Granados earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Navarra, where he specialized in industrial organization and entrepreneurship at IESE Business School. He started his career in corporate intrapreneurship research in the railway industry for CAF, a leading global train manufacturer headquartered in Spain.

While teaching science and mathematics at an international high school, he completed a master’s degree in science education. He then pursued an MPhil and an international PhD in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology at the University of the Basque Country and the National Autonomous University of Mexico, having also been a visiting student at Oxford University.

Dr Granados is now working as a visiting postdoctoral researcher in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge, where he will stay until 2025. His research interests lie at the intersection between science, technology, ecology, education and values.

Beyond his research, Dr Granados is a lover of nature, contemplative practice and humanistic psychology. He is also trained as a gestalt therapist and enjoys providing voluntary counselling for people facing personal concerns.
