Rishul Karia is EDI and Green Officer for the GSB Committee 2026/27, co-founder of the Climate Sciences SIG, captain of the football team and co-captain of the cricket team.

He is a second-year PhD student at the Centre for Climate Repair whose research centres on modelling the scalability of carbon capture technology. He previously completed an MPhil in Quantitative Climate and Environmental Sciences at Clare Hall and served as President on the Committee in 2025/26.

As EDI Officer, he aims to make sure that student voices are heard and represented on all issues within the college. He will endeavour to celebrate the wonderful diversity of cultures and traditions that make Clare Hall truly unique. From a Green Officer (gsb.green@clarehall.cam.ac.uk) perspective, he is committed to continuing work on the initiatives that lead to the college winning ‘Best Environmental Impact’ at the 2026 Sustainability Awards. This includes, but is not limited to, work on sustainable catering, biodiversity, food waste and green energy installations.
