M. Fatih Gurbuz is a second-year PhD candidate in the Department of Engineering at CSMLab, where he focuses on statistical finite element analysis and the dynamics of engineering structures, with a particular interest in stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) and their finite element (FEM) solutions in both classical and quantum settings.

As one of the External Officers on the GSB Committee for the 2025/2026 academic year, Fatih is excited to help build connections across Cambridge. He’s especially looking forward to organising fun college swaps and social events that bring people together to make new friends and share great experiences.
